How do I choose the right bag size?

When selecting the appropriate bag size, it is important to keep in mind the dimensions (height x width x depth) or volume (ml) of the product being packed, e.g. a 500g volume of fine salt is not the same as a 500g volume of coffee beans - the bulkier the product, the more space it requires. We always recommend choosing a bag one size larger to accommodate your product and not overfill it.

Let's take a look at this...

  1. Weigh on a scale the product you need to pack (e.g. 500g of protein).
  2. Prepare a measuring cup and pour your product into it. Look at the line of the measuring cup to see the volume in milliliters.
  3. Let's say that the raw material reaches a line with a value of 400 ml. So for this example, you will be looking for the bag with the nearest upwards in the row, i.e. 500ml.

* In case your product is not loose and has fixed dimensions, e.g. soap, please note that the sizes listed for the bag are its outside dimensions. From these dimensions you must subtract the weld ( side and bottom ) which is approximately 6mm and if the bag has a zipper, subtract the location of the zipper from the top edge of the bag. This varies from 20mm to 40mm depending on the content of the bag.
