It's not a packaging like a packaging
Which packaging is most suitable for storing coffee?
Choose special bags that preserve the freshness and aroma of the roasted beans. What makes these bags special?
One-way aroma valve
To preserve the aroma of fresh coffee, the bags are equipped with a one-way aroma valve.
The valve reliably controls the release of oxygen, carbon dioxide or steam.
What would happen if the valve was missing from the bag? It would inflate and burst!
Because freshly roasted coffee produces up to 6 litres of gas per kilogram of beans.
Snippets from the world of coffee: To save money on packaging, some smaller producers store their coffee in bags without a valve, which are pierced at the bottom with a pin. However, this is unprofessional and spoils the contents of the whole package.
Impermeable layer
The coffee bag is equipped with an aluminium layer which creates an excellent barrier against air and moisture. Oxygen will not cause the beans to age and the roasted coffee will not lose its specific aroma or taste.
However, the aluminium layer is also fully replaceable with a combination of two layers of foil, which creates a barrier against the elements just like aluminium. In addition, less CO2 emissions are produced when disposing of these bags.
Zip
A resealable zipper keeps the coffee fresh even after opening. Marked tear notches make the bag easy to open and make access to the zipper easier.
Final closure of the bag
Before the coffee reaches the store shelves or your customer's hands, seal the bag with a sealer. If you're not sure which machine is right for you, drop us a line and we'll be happy to help you choose.
